Text for new ensemble piece - "Sacred Shadows"

Rehearsed today with the as-yet-unnamed ensemble (see below). One of the pieces we worked on was a new composition of mine - "Sacred Shadows". The text for this piece follows...

Hum - I feel your voice inside of me
Sing - I feel the words upon your lips
Feel my beating heart inside of you
Feel a spell between our fingertips

There is something in the air tonight
There was something in the light today
A way to navigate Sacred Shadows
We are boats in the moonlit sea

We are boats in the moonlit sea
We track the stars
We count the hours
From shore to shore
Compass to pole
Holy night
Wrap us in love
And make us ready
For the holy day
